Building a Professional Development System: Integrating Policies, Standards and Technology

The objectives of this preconference session are:

  3. To strategically plan AALPD's professional development towards that vision

  4. Communicate the importance of policies, standards and technology in bulding a system for professional development.

  5. To apply the standards within our own PD work

Description: Participants will expand on a shared vision for AALPD's role in professional development (PD) by building on AALPD visioning discussions, exploring Professional Development Quality Standards; collaborating with the Adult Literacy Technology Network (ALTN) in using technology that supports standards-based professional development, and strategically planning for AALPD's future in moving the vision forward.
